Launch Out into the Deep
Updated: Dec 4
When God remove you from a place or situation you are not to go back, except the removal was temporary, and God confirmed that this was the case. Going back would not bring the blessings, and the results expected. When Jesus says launch out into the deep, He means to launch out into the deep. Don't stay on the shorelines in shallow waters, playing it safe. But in faith move forward into the waters to swim in. It is only there that one will receive the fullness of the blessings of God and experience His power to work miracles on your behalf.
At the invitation and word of the Lord one must in obedience launch out into the deep, trusting Him to produce the results. It would take faith in God to launch out at His word. Do not say that I have been toiling all night for many years without fruit, but step out, launch out in faith at the word of the Lord. Sometimes we have labored all night, for many years without any positive results and we are about to give up when Jesus appears, He was there all the time, and says to us, launch out, try one more time on the right side. We explain to Him that we have labored there for many years without results. We are weary and disillusioned and about to give up. But at His word we are willing to try once more.
Sometimes we need to get on the right side in God's time. We need to get the instructions from God when it is the right time and place to fish, to engage in the ministry to which we have been called. We must obey the word of the Lord although at times it may not make sense to us or is what we desire to do, or even part of our well-thought-out plans.
In St John 21:11 when Peter and the other disciples decided to go fishing, the Lord was not with them. But when He came and gave them the instructions, they obeyed His word. 153 large fish was the catch, and the fishing net was not broken. They caught an abundance of fish, enough to share with others. What does that mean to us? When we obey the instructions of the Lord Jesus Christ, we would receive an abundance that would last. We would become fruitful. We would have more than enough. Obedience to the word of the Lord would always bring success in our calling and prosperity. There would be times of difficulty and trials, but the Lord Jesus Christ has promised to deliver us from them all once we are walking in obedience to His word. Let us in faith launch out into the deep and cast our net on the right side.
I pray, that you would surrender your will and plans in obedience to the known will of God.
