WE ARE ONE IN CHRIST

As believers in Jesus Christ, we are marching together as one great army of the Lord. In unity of the faith, obeying and doing the will of God. We may belong to different churches in different parts of the world, but we are one in Christ.

Christ prayed for us:

St. John 17:11

vs. 11 "Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to you. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are."

St. John 17: 20-23

vs. 20 "I do not pray for these alone but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;

vs 21. that they all may be one, as You, Father are in Me and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent me.

vs. 22 And the glory which You sent Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one.

vs 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me."

The Apostle Paul's Warning:

Paul issued a warning to the Church leaders as he was about to leave them. Acts 20:17-31

vs 28 Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the Church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

vs 29 For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.

vs. 30 Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves.

vs 31 Therefore watch and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.

Believers in Jesus Christ we are one. As Paul, the apostle warned, the Church was pulled apart and separated by leaders who wanted the glory and praise of men. They turned the flock of God, the disciples of Jesus Christ, to following their doctrines which were contrary to the teachings of Christ and the Apostles as found in the Holy Bible and preserved by God for all generations. We now have in the Church, many false and self-declared apostles, prophets, pastors and teachers who have led and are leading God's people, the Church away from the truth. But let every true believer in Christ be warned and beware of them. Read the Word, know the Word, the truth. Regardless of where you choose to fellowship in a local church, remember that we are one in Christ and that it is the Truth that will set us free and keep us free from the bondage of Satan and from being deceived by his agents who present themselves as ministers of lights to us. One day if we continue in the faith, we would be all together, a great army of saints from all over the world, praising God, and living together in God's kingdom as one. Let no one rob you of your inheritance in Christ. Whoever has an ear to hear, let them take heed to the word of the Lord and not fall into the deceptive trap of the enemy. We are all one in Christ, if we are true disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I break the forces of darkness that have kept your people separated and divided, blinded to the truth. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, that their eyes would be opened to the truth that we are one in Christ. I pray that wherever we live in this world and wherever we choose to fellowship, that we would truly be one in spirit serving our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as we endeavour to spread the gospel of the kingdom in this world and to fulfill your purpose for each individual life in Christ, in Jesus name, Amen.
